Greetings all,
Welcome to my blog. It's just a little ol' thing where I plan to post any thoughts and musings on life, love, wine, music, books, movies, baking, and crafting. And anything else I happen to be obsessing over at any given moment. My postings may be sporadic, but I plan on making myself write something regularly. We'll see how well that works out...
Admittedly, I'm very excitable so you'll probably see a lot of "Holy crap I LOVE this!" type posts.
There will most likely be posts about cupcakes or desserts; I love baking. I love trying new wines, though my palate is anything but sophisticated so I don't have the ability to discern what flavors or aromas have combined to make the wine taste the way it tastes. I can tell you if I think it tastes yummy. And that's really what's most important, right? ...riiiiight? Good. I'm glad you're still on board.
I love music. My tastes are all over the place. From Mel Tormé and Sinatra to Motorhead and System of a Down. And books! I love books. My love of words is never ending. Have any interesting etymology? Tell me! I also love movies. The Princess Bride has been my favorite movie since I was 8 years old and my mom took me to see it in the theater. The Three Amigos is up there as a fave, as is pretty much any Mel Brooks movie. Plus about a billion others that I'm sure you'll hear about soon.
I love crafting. I'm a cross stitcher, and a crocheter. I'm currently crocheting my first afghan and I've been cross stitching a ginormous portrait of Johnny Depp for my best friend for about a year. I don't know how to sew ot knit yet but I'm determined to learn eventually.
I love fun costume jewelry. If its plastic or bakelite or clever in any way, chances are I'm going to neeeeed it.
I'm positive you'll also be hearing about the following: my amazing boyfriend, my amazing best friend/ roommate, my other various amazing friends, Flight of the Conchords, Doctor Who, Neil Gaiman, English Bulldogs and how much I want one, Harry Potter, my cat and her tormenter (my roommate's cat), Rockabilly fashion, music, and culture, robots, Disneyland, learning to play the ukulele, yarn, and my brand new sex toy party business.
So buckle in, folks, it's going to be a silly, nerdy, and maybe a little bit naughty ride. :D
